#50PreciousWords Contest

In 2021, picture book author, Vivian Kirkfield chose me as a #PBChat finalist. Later that summer, I met Vivian for lunch and got to talk shop with a real, live author! I think I was a bit starstruck. Luckily, Vivian is so gracious and easy to talk to. If you aren’t familiar with her already, please check out her website here. She gives back so much to the kidlit community and her annual #50preciouswords contest is one way of doing so. Below is my entry. Enjoy!

1. Wow! I love this, Julie! And thank you so much for the kind words and for spreading the word about #50PreciousWords. I had so much fun on our afternoon outing – I’ll be back in Romeoville at the end of April…maybe we can hook up again.
